Alergia alimentar e anti-IgE: uma revisão sistemática

INTRODUCTION The prevalence of food allergy is a growing problem of public health. The current standard of treatment is to strictly avoid the offensive food (s). This systematic review will provide an overview of the strategy of the use of monoclonal antibody, IgE, currently under investigation for the treatment of food allergy. METHODS We analyzed the most relevant studies originally published in English, from the last five years, having as reference the databases MEDLINE (National Library of Medicine and National Institutes of Health). In order to select the studies of greater scientific evidence, we contemplate only the controlled and randomized clinical trials. The search strategy used the following combinations of keywords: (omalizumab OR Xolair) AND (“Food Allergies " OR “Food Allergy " OR “Food Hypersensitivities " OR “food Hypersensitivity "). RESULTS Initially, 118 studies involving the use of omalizumab and talizumab for the treatment of food allergy were identified. However, after applying the Clinical Trials, Humans and 5 years filters, only 10 articles were left. To complement the summary of the studies, a manual search and application of the inclusion and exclusion criteria were performed, and 7 articles were selected involving the theme. All presenting satisfactory results regarding the use of IgE in food allergy. CONCLUSION According to the studies analyzed, the use of IgE monoclonal antibody in food allergy has been done with the patient tolerates higher doses of the food, without presenting reactions, both as monotherapy and associated with sensitization, in this last Reducing allergic symptoms and speeding up your process.

INTRODUÇÃO: A prevalência de alergia alimentar é um problema crescente de saúde pública. O padrão atual de tratamento é evitar estritamente o(s) alimento(s) ofensivo(s). Esta revisão sistemática fornecerá uma visão geral de estratégia do uso de anticorpo monoclonal, anti-igE, atualmente sob investigação para o tratamento da alergia alimentar. MÉTODOS: Foram analisados os mais relevantes estudos publicados originalmente em inglês, dos últimos cinco anos, tendo como referência as bases de dados MEDLINE (National Library of Medicine e National Institutes of Health) e PUBMED. Com objetivo de selecionar os estudos de maior evidência científica, contemplamos somente os ensaios clínicos controlados e randomizados. A estratégia de busca utilizou as seguintes combinações de palavras-chave: (omalizumab OR Xolair) AND ("Food Allergies" OR "Food Allergy" OR "Food Hypersensitivities" OR "food Hypersensitivity"). RESULTADOS: Inicialmente foram identificados 118 estudos envolvendo o omalizumab e talizumab para tratamento da alergia alimentar. Contudo, após aplicação dos filtros Clinical Trials, Humans e 5 years restaram apenas 10 artigos. Para complementar o sumário dos estudos, foi realizada uma busca manual e aplicação dos critérios de inclusão e exclusão, sendo selecionados 7 artigos envolvendo a temática. Todos apresentando resultados satisfatórios com relação ao uso do anti-igE na alergia alimentar. CONCLUSÃO: De acordo com os trabalhos analisados, o uso de anticorpo monoclonal anti-IgE na alergia alimentar tem feito com o paciente tolere doses mais elevadas do alimento, sem apresentar reações, tanto como monoterapia, quanto associado a dessensibilização, nesta última diminuindo os sintomas alérgicos e acelerando o seu processo.
